Przysucha

Friends of Jewish Heritage in Poland is working to raise funds for the restoration of the Jewish cemetery in Przysucha being conducted by Poland's "Jewish Przysucha" non-profit organization.

This cemetery is owned by our Polish partner organization FODŻ, the Foundation for the Preservation of Jewish Heritage in Poland. "Jewish Przysucha" has been working at this cemetery since our organization and others joined them in 2022 to conduct the first formal clean-up of the cemetery in recent memory. Since then, they have returned to the cemetery on multiple occasions and have gained the active and generous support of former Bishop and now Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś, who also serves as head of Catholic-Jewish dialogue for the Catholic Church in Poland. The Jewish Przysucha organization is led by University of Szczeczyn Professor of History Radosław Ptaszyński.
