"…from the 300-year-old cemetery, tombstones were plucked, the ground was plowed and used as a road".—Rabbi Szymon Huberband, writing from the Warsaw Ghetto, in an entry in the Ringelblum Archives.

The Jewish Cemetery of Przasnysz (פּרושניץ in Yiddish) was decimated during the war years and is in a state of advancing disrepair.  This final resting place dates back hundreds of years.  Working with FODŻOur volunteers seek to bring dignity to the souls buried in these sacred grounds and to memorialize the once thriving Jewish community of Przasnysz. We are pleased to report that informational signboards will be installed in the very near future.

Much has been accomplished but much also remains to be done. With your financial support we will restore and maintain dignity at this Jewish cemetery in perpetuity.

Please click on either "Donate" button on this page to make your donation by credit card or Pay Pal.

Friends of Jewish Heritage in Poland is also working to raise funds for the installation of boundary markers at the cemetery and we plan to install a new informational signboard there in 2025.

To contribute to the long-term maintenance endowment, please see the Mosek Ruda Memorial Fund for the Jewish Cemetery of Przasnysz, administered by the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven.
