Protecting the Jewish Cemetery of Majdan Królewski

A partially fallen fence surrounds the Jewish cemetery, now owned by the town of Majdan Królewski. The 0.9 acre cemetery has about ten surviving headstones. The grounds were devastated during the Second World War and later. According to information obtained from one of the inhabitants of the town, some tombstones were used as material for the construction of barns or stables. 

Descendants of the town's Jewish community are eager to protect and restore the cemetery.

Plans for this project include identifying highest priority goals for future work, potentially including:

a) Cleaning the cemetery;

b) Erecting a dedication plaque;

c) Restoring tombstones;

d) Repairing the fence/wall;

e) Improving signage leading to the cemetery
